On behalf of the Chief, Elders, Men and women of Obuoforibo War Canoe House. I wish to formally express our profound gratitude to all who attended the Chieftaincy installation of our respected Paramount ruler, Alabo Ibiso Tamunomie Iyama Obuoforibo. 

Your esteemed presence, prayers, phone calls, and support during this time of unique celebration have been a great source of immense strength for our great family. 

We extend our sincere appreciation to Chief Dr. Samuel Ogbuku. MD/ CEO NDDC and Deputy Paramount Ruler of Ayakoro Town in Bayelsa State, Chief. Hon. Barr. Boma Iyaye Esq. Fifikachiri V of Ogu Kingdom and Executive Director of Finance and Administration NDDC and Chairman of Ogu/Bolo Se-Ala Ogbo, Distinguished Senator George Thompson Sekibo CON Paramount Chief of Etem War Canoe House and Igo Alabo of Ogu Kingdom, Bishop Dr King David Ebenezer JP, General Overseer of the Power of God Ministry Port Harcourt, Hon Akuro Tobin former Executive Chairman of Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers state and Chief Hon. Barr. Vincent Nemieboka former  chairman of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area of Rivers State, High Chief Engr. Stephen Tamunodiepiriye Anga Owiya-Kune JP, respected  Community leader, Madam Oribi Eugene Wakama, Elder Samuel Tamuno Iruowarisima JP, ADG DSS retired; Dr. Kio Tams, prominent  politician, University Lecturer and Clergyman, Barr Mrs. Ibitamuno Renner Iyama, Mr Wilfred  and Mercy Amatemeso of Mercy Divine Properties Nigeria  and  members of the Alabo Obuoforibo committee of friends, High Chief Tobin JP a Political leader in Okrika Local Government Area and beloved friend to Alabo Obuoforibo's late father, staff of NDDC, Old Port Harcourt Township Boy's, His Excellency Nyesom Ezenwo  Wike political family in Ogu/Bolo and  Okrika LGA's.

 Our gratitude goes to the respected  Alabo Francis Ada Ebenezer Onye JP and members of Onye Chieftaincy War  Canoe House as well as the patriotic Opuoguolaya family in Ogoloma Town in Okrika Local Government Area of Rivers state and Late Elder Appolos  Daso Kalaiyo family in Okuru Ama in Port Harcourt Local Government Area, the Iyama and Iruene families and the entire members of the Obuoforibo's ( Onye) Descendants worldwide  whose attendance underscores the unity we share with kinsmen.

 The War Canoe House further extends to the respected chairman of Ogu Divisional Council of Chiefs ODDC Chief Adokiye Ochiemiebia Chuku and his Council of Chiefs, Chief Fidelis Opuiyo-Opu-Ngbeka Chairman of Offiamani Group of Houses Council of Chiefs in Ogu kingdom, his predecessor Chief Isreal Iboms Eleni JP and Ogu/ Bolo Local Government Area Council of Chiefs (Se-Ala Ogbo) of Rivers State.

We also extend immense thanks to our great and Braveheart traditional leaders; from Wakirike-se (Okrika) and others LGA's. 

Their utmost presence, advise and prayers were deeply appreciated to us. We extend special thanks to different cultural organisations that showed support, Amase Awo cultural musical group of Ogoloma Town in Okrika Local Government Area, Agiji Ti (Machetes display) from Okrika Town, Eremini ogbo women singing group in Ogu kingdom, the Offiamani women's group representing the War Canoe Houses for their weeklong participation in singing and Igira-mangi (Earth run).

We also appreciate the support from those not mentioned in this message, whose physical attendance and kindness have done a great deal for the protection of our great patriarch Obuoforibo Legacy.

  Flashback : On this day May 26, 2011 my dearly beloved Mother Madam Tamunoene Sunday Titi Bennett Opuda , died, at the age of 82. Shе passed away  peaceful in Port Harcourt ,Rivers State. My memories of her are full of Joy and happiness to the Glory of God Almighty,  continue  to rest dear mother in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ. A great blessed  mum that loved me  and her beloved grandchildren beyond words. We missed you, Bye.    Installation of Paramount Chief, Alabo Ibiso Tamunomie Iyama Obuoforibo of Ogu Kingdom, Rivers State, Nigeria. T he 19 th of April ,2025, was a milestone in ancient Ogu Kingdom, headquarter of Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, Rivers State, Nigeria. On that blessed day, Alabo Ibiso Tamunomie Iyama Obuoforibo was installed and crowned as Paramount head, Alabo of the newly created Chieftaincy War Canoe House in Offiamani Group of War Canoe Houses, to be henceforth known as, Alabo (Chief) Ibiso Tamunomie Iyama Obuoforibo, Obuoforibo the 11, Ogunu Feni 1 st .   Ogu Town    formerly an Island  now peninsula after the land reclamation (Dredging) of the mangrove forest during the Second Republic led by the Patriotic and Visionary leader  Chief Dr. Melford Obene Okilo of old Rivers State ,  is the  administrative headquarters of  Ogu/Bolo  Local Government Area (LGA) in Rivers State, Nigeria. It is situated in the eastern part of the Niger Delta, the Ogu people are of the Wakirike-se, a sub-group of the larger Ijaw tribe in Nigeria. The LGA represent one of the 11 Local Government Areas in Rivers State with Ijaw heritage. Namely: Okrika, Andoni, Bonny, Degema, Asari Toru, Akuku-Toru, Opobo/Nkoro, Abua/Odual, Ahoada West and Port Harcourt City LGA.
